The Path to Authenticity

Since I was a child, I’ve had a deep connection with art, the streets, and urban culture. Skateboarding was my refuge; it was where I discovered freedom and learned to move at my own pace, far from rules and expectations. I used to take my father’s clothes and, with creativity and boldness, transformed them into something I could wear while skating. Oversized T-shirts became my favorite; some I cut, others I personalized with markers alongside my friends. I also drew inspiration from the hip-hop style my brother wore, adapting it to create something unique. It was all spontaneous, almost like a game, but full of character and meaning.

Art has also been a constant passion in my life, but I never fit into the traditional framework of school. Rules and academic subjects felt distant and irrelevant to me. My mind was always elsewhere, focused on what truly captivated me: creating and exploring my own forms of expression. Between the streets, skateboarding, and art, my life has always been deeply connected to freedom, authenticity, and the desire to build something unique.

Over time, I realized that my passion for transforming clothes wasn’t just a childhood game. It was my way of telling stories, connecting emotions, and giving shape to something authentic. In 2019, I decided to take it further and create Mills, a clothing brand that represents everything I am and everything I’ve always wanted to convey. It’s not just a brand; it’s an extension of my sensitivity, my story, and my artistic vision.

One of the most significant pieces in my collection is the "DAD" jacket. It’s inspired by an ’80s denim jacket that belonged to my father and that I inherited from him. That piece not only represents his style but also the values that guide my work: authenticity, sensitivity, and emotional connection. I named the jacket "DAD" as a tribute and because it embodies the essence of what I want Mills to be: something unique, with a story, and full of meaning.

From the start, I’ve been clear about wanting to distance myself from fast, superficial fashion. My clothes are for those who value quality, exclusivity, and emotional connection. Each design is crafted in Spain in small quantities, preserving the exclusivity and quality that I consider essential.

Today, I live in Los Angeles, a vibrant city that inspires me every day as I continue to build Mills and connect with those who appreciate authenticity and emotion.

Mills is more than clothing. It’s my story, my vision, and my way of transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary.
